Sales - Restoration - Consultancy
HSC was born from the love of two young car enthusiasts, looking to use their passion to help like-minded individuals achieve their classic and sports car ambitions. Through various restorations and sales of our own, we are well versed in how to navigate the difficulties found in the automotive sector.
Therefore, we would love to invite you to get in touch with any of your classic or sports car needs.
Born into a family of historic cars and motorsport addicts, it was only natural that I was going to follow in their footsteps. With my Grandfather restoring classic cars in the infancy of the classic car hobby, I was always obsessed with the mechanical engineering, and unique details of classic, particularly pre-war cars. At the age of 11, I entered into the world of national motorsport, racing Rotax karts throughout the United Kingdom. This undoubtedly fuelled my passion for motorsports.
Working for a major motor manufacturer expanded my knowledge of both the industry, sales, and marketing side of the automotive world. This has allowed to live and breathe my passion for motor vehicles.
The culmination of both my personal and professional career, and proudest moment, came in the guise of an invite to one of the most prestigious classic car events of all time; Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. This was a tribute to my late Grandfather, David Mathison, in the form of a 1937 Talbot 105 Airline Saloon. This car was fully restored by us to concours condition and was subsequently invited to sit amongst some of the rarest cars in the world.
The sounds and smells of vintage racing cars surrounded me from a young age, regularly visiting Goodwood and various racing events throughout Europe. Having had a chance to get up close and personal to a number of classic cars and motorcycles, this shaped my future, now working at the highest level of both historic and GT motorsport.
Serving a motorsport engineering degree from the ages of 16 - 18, I would regularly race and repair my classic Mini on the way to college. My first introduction into the world of running a classic car myself. Little would I know in just two short years, I would be working for a front running team in historic motorsport. Having decided to run my own car, I quickly became both driver and mechanic in a national championship in sports car racing.
At the age of just 27, I have run one of the competitive historic racing teams on the Masters Historic's Grid. With regular podium finishes and wins at events such as Goodwood Members Meeting, Spa Six Hours and Silverstone Classic, I am extremely proud of what we have achieved.
